Super Easy Delicious Homemade Tofurky Clone Recipe

Tofurkey or Tofurky (named from combining the words tofu and turkey) is a plant-based meat substitute patterned after turkey, in the form of a loaf of vegetarian protein, usually made from tofu (soybean protein) or seitan (wheat protein) with a stuffing made from grains or bread, flavored with a broth and seasoned with herbs and spices. It is often served at a vegetarian or vegan Thanksgiving meal.

We took this Tofurky towards a vegan deli meat so it can be sliced for sandwiches, cubed and added to a pot pie, or used like the original with some dressing on the side. Our homemade Tofurky clone is really easy to make, doesn’t include a lot of weird ingredients and has a LOT less salt and fat than the commercial version!
