I mean, it’s parmigiana, it’s got a big hunk of seitan, vegan cheese, a flavorful sauce…. all on a sub roll. What’s not to like?

Seitan Parmigiana Sandwich

Ingredients (one well packed sandwich)

(simmering Liquid)


1 teaspoon dried Thyme:

1 teaspoon dried Basil:

Salt Black Pepper

1 teaspoon No Salt Seasoning:


1/2 Cup Vital Wheat Gluten:

2 Tablespoons Chickpea Flour:

3 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar:

1 teaspoon Garlic Powder:

1 teaspoon Onion Powder:

1 teaspoon dried Thyme

1 Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast:

1/2 Cup Veggie Broth:

Canola Oil for cooking


1/4 Red Onion



8 oz No Salt Added Tomato Sauce:

1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

2 teaspoons dried Thyme

1 Tablespoon dried Basil

1/2 teaspoon Sugar (if needed)

2 slices Chao Cheese:

6 inch Hoagie Rolls
